Daylight Savings Time Reminders

Daylight savings time applies in some parts of the country.  Originally, it was intended to maximize the number of daylight hours that could be used for farming.  Today it serves to ensure the morning commute and early school bus boarding take place in daylight.

For Daylight Savings Time, clocks are set forward one hour at 2:00 A.M. on the first Sunday in April, and then are set back one hour at 2:00 A.M. on the last Sunday in October.  Following the change for Daylight Savings Time, the following appliances should be checked for the correct time:
